Failed to load source for: siteUrl/User/Login

Jan 24, 2011 at 5:39 PM

I've just encountered this error (it was working before!!!): "Failed to load source for Failed to load source for: http://www.kennysax.com/User/Login" . I didn't make any changes, I even delete the entire site and re-upload the all the files just to make sure. The local version works just fine... If you go to my website: http://www.kennysax.com (just a personal blog site), and login with your info (using any of the supported OpenID site), and use FireBug, you'll see the response, which I don't really understand why :(

Any help would be great,

Thanks.

In case someone is also having similar problem, I've posted a solution here (well, you might have something else, but it might help others):

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4786221/dotnetopenauth-mvcopenid-works-locally-but-not-on-production-server

It took me almost 2 days to fight this bug, and luckily I was able to logon to the production server to step through the code (none of my dev machine experiences the problem), otherwise I would have give up using OpenId :)

Hi!

Sorry for a late reply, but I'm just swamped these days.

I see you've already solved the problem using a shorter maxAuthenticationTime. This was probably caused by the settings of your production IIS settings and DotNetOpenAuth. I have not yet run into this problem myself.

Thanks for sharing the solution :)
